Pool Guard of Dallas/Fort Worth selected The Notre Dame School of Dallas and The Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Coalition as recipients of donations

Why is giving back to the community so important?  Today is North Texas Giving Day, where thousands of Non-Profits are hopefully you will select them for a donation.  Every one of these organizations provides valuable services within our community and are all deserving of our contributions.  Pool Guard of Dallas/Fort Worth encourages you to consider making a gift to one of these deserving organizations today, tomorrow, next week or next month.  The season for giving is not just today, but everyday.

This year, Pool Guard of Dallas/Fort Worth selected The Notre Dame School of Dallas and The Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Coalition as recipients of donations.

The 2nd one is a more obvious choice for us, as drowning prevention is the #1 reason we are in business in the first place – our mission is “making pools safe for kids”-  it says so right on our website.    Any partnering with an organization like The Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Alliance is right in alignment with our mission, a great cause to support and funnels education for drowning prevention all across Fort Worth.  We are honored to be able to support them this year.  Drowning is 100% preventable and it is our duty to arm families with the knowledge to keep their loved ones safe in and around the water.  Not just swimming pools either, but bath tubs, lakes, oceans, streams and any water source containing more than an inch of water.  For more information about this organization, please visit www.fwdpc.org

The first choice does not directly align with our mission, but this wonderful and special school holds a dear place in our hearts.  You see, the students at The Notre Dame School all have special needs.  Their mission is to “educate[s] students with developmental disabilities and facilitate[s] their integration into society.”  In addition to math, science and reading, Notre Dame’s upper school teaches these special students life skills and job skills so they can thrive, work and not be limited by their limitations.  To that end, if you have ever received a post card mailing from Pool Guard of Dallas/Fort Worth the chances are it was stamped and labeled by the amazing special needs students at The Notre Dame School in Dallas.  We are thrilled to have the privilege to work with such an awesome organization.  For more information about this wonderful school please visit www.notredameschool.org

Although these are the 2 groups we elected to support this year, there are thousands more out there from which to choose.  We encourage to get out there and give to an organization whose mission is near and dear to your heart.  Giving feels so good!
