Leslie grew up in Houston and graduated with a degree in Economics from Southern Methodist University. She married her husband, Derrik in 2002 and they are the proud parents of 2 amazing and beautiful daughters. Derrik grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and earned a degree in Political Science from Texas Christian University.

In 2008 when our first daughter was born, we knew fencing our North Dallas pool would be a priority. As we began to research pool fencing, we began to realize how many subtle but important differences there were between providers. Ultimately, we liked the Pool Guard product the best, but there was no Dallas contact. Luckily, the distributor in Houston came up and installed our fence for us. As we were chatting, an incredible opportunity was born.

Leslie had given up her career in Commercial Real Estate, seeking something more flexible, but wasn’t sure what – maybe she had found her answer. She traveled to Houston and stayed for a few weeks learning about the industry, the safety protocols, and furthered her assurance that Pool Guard’s safety fences and self closing, self latching gates were indeed a top notch products. Leslie and Derrik applied for the North Texas Distributorship and got it. After extensive training and back ground checks, we were off on a new adventure.
